La Vuelta  – From Mundaka to Bilbao, following the footsteps of La Vuelta

We will begin our exhilarating day early in the morning. A privatae transfer will pick you up from your respective hotels to take you to our stunning starting point: Mundaka, nestled in the heart of the breathtaking Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve, a natural gem of the Basque Country.

We’ll head toward historic Gernika, a city with profound symbolism in Basque heritage, world-famous for the devastating 1937 bombing and the legendary Pablo Picasso painting. From Gernika, we’ll embark on the scenic climb to the magnificent Balcony of Biscay, a 5-km gently sloping mountain pass, offering incredible panoramic views over the lush region.

As we approach to Galdakano, we’ll conquer the challenging Alto del Vivero, followed by the demanding Alto de Pike, the final test before the exhilarating descent. With the finish line in sight, we’ll pedal along the picturesque Bilbao estuary, where we’ll culminate our unforgettable adventure after an epic day of cycling.

After checking into our hotels and refreshing ourselves, we’ll head to the finish line of the race to witness this electrifying race.
